Tragic Head-On Collision Claims Two Lives and Leaves Two Injured in White Hall

White Hall, Arkansas – In a devastating incident on Tuesday evening, a woman and a young boy tragically lost their lives, while two others sustained injuries in a horrific head-on collision on U.S. 270 near Ashley Road.

According to the detailed fatality report released by the Arkansas State Police, the fatal crash occurred when a 2017 Ford, traveling eastbound, collided head-on with a 2008 Chevrolet that was heading westbound. The collision took place at approximately 5:38 p.m. after the Chevrolet unexpectedly veered across the centerline.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Angel Hatten, a 46-year-old resident of Sheridan, was pronounced dead by Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley at 6:37 p.m. Sadly, the report did not disclose the identity of the 12-year-old passenger, who also succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:39 p.m.

The Ford involved in the collision was driven by Stephanie Hinkle, a 31-year-old resident of Sheridan, with a 10-year-old girl as her passenger. Both individuals suffered injuries and were promptly transported to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock for medical treatment. However, the specific details regarding their conditions remain undisclosed at this time.

Authorities reported that the weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident. Investigation into the crash is ongoing to determine the exact cause and factors contributing to the tragic collision.
