Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Wife, 11-Year-Old Girl, and Police Officer

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A 64-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday night after allegedly assaulting his wife, an 11-year-old girl, and even a police officer. Mobile Police officers responded to a domestic complaint at the Extended Stay Hotel, as reported by the Mobile Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that the victim’s husband had reportedly struck and choked his wife before forcefully pulling their daughter by her hair. The incident had taken place inside one of the hotel rooms.

When the officers attempted to enter the room, the suspect, identified as Marvin Lingelbach, slammed the door on one of the officer’s hands, causing injury. Despite this, the suspect was successfully apprehended and taken into custody.

Lingelbach now faces multiple charges, including domestic violence (strangulation), assault, harassment, resisting arrest, and failure to obey.
