Housewife and Two Children killed in Tragic Car Collision in Penjom
KUANTAN: In a devastating accident that occurred in Penjom, near Kuala Lipis, a housewife and her two children lost their lives when their car collided with a trailer lorry. The incident took place at KM17 on Jalan Lipis-Benta early Friday morning (Dec 15).
Kuala Lipis OCPD Supt Azli Mohd Noor revealed that the victims, identified as Nor Faizah Ridzuan, aged 34, from Kok Lanas, Kelantan, along with her two sons, 10-year-old Muhammad Hariz Adrian Mohd Azman and three-year-old Muhammad Hafiy Azman, tragically died at the scene due to severe head and body injuries.
The fatal accident occurred around 2.25am when Nor Faizah lost control of the car while navigating a bend on the road, causing it to veer into the opposite lane and collide with the trailer. The impact of the collision resulted in the car being dragged by the trailer and crashing into a metal road barrier, further exacerbating the tragedy.
Supt Azli Mohd Noor issued a statement confirming that the victims were believed to be traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan. The 48-year-old trailer driver miraculously escaped unscathed, escaping any injuries.
Following the accident, the bodies of Nor Faizah Ridzuan and her two children were promptly transported to the Kuala Lipis Hospital. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of their deaths. The authorities are currently investigating the incident under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
