The initial findings of the autopsy conducted on a man found deceased at a residence on Rocky Hill Estates Road have not provided any clarity on the cause of death.

The investigation was initiated when Grayson County Deputy Coroner James Embry responded to a call at 11:40 on Sunday morning. The call was made from a residence in the 300 block of Rocky Hill Estates Road after a male in his 40s, identified as Alan Lovell, aged 49 and from Louisville, was discovered unresponsive. Lovell was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m.

“Given the circumstances at the scene, a death investigation was launched,” stated Embry, who spoke to K105. “An autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of death.”

According to Embry, the preliminary autopsy report did not reveal any signs of trauma that could explain Lovell’s death. Authorities are now awaiting the results of the toxicology report, which may take several weeks.

The autopsy was performed at the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville.

Although initial information suggested that Lovell had no significant medical history that could indicate a potential cause of death, the ongoing death investigation has revealed that the deceased did have some medical history, Embry confirmed.

Further updates on the investigation will be provided by K105 as soon as they become available.
