In a shocking incident, the body of a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan was discovered hanging from a tree on the campus of the force at Birsa Chowk in Rourkela. The jawan has been identified as Sahil Kumar, a 31-year-old native of Kathua district in Jammu & Kashmir. Sahil was staying in the CISF barracks in Rourkela.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have recovered a mobile phone from Sahil’s pocket. S Lakra, additional in-charge of the Plant site police station, stated, “We are investigating the case to ascertain the circumstances leading to the jawan’s death.”
