Chennai Woman Allegedly Orchestrates Ex-Lover’s Murder, Arrested by Police

Chennai: A shocking incident unfolded in Chennai as the local police apprehended a 28-year-old woman, identified as Priya, for allegedly orchestrating the murder of her former lover with the help of a four-member gang. The unfortunate event took place on Wednesday night, leaving the entire community in a state of shock and disbelief. Priya, a resident of Ponneri and a mother of two children, now faces severe legal consequences for her alleged involvement in the crime.

According to a report by The Times Of India, Priya had been in a relationship with Gopalkrishnan, a 27-year-old employee at a courier firm, for a few years. The relationship had started when Priya and her husband had already separated. However, tensions arose last month when Gopalkrishnan suspected Priya of being involved with another man. The couple had a heated argument, with Gopalkrishnan urging her to end her new relationship.

On the ill-fated Wednesday, Priya strategically lured Gopalkrishnan to meet her near the Ponneri municipality office. It was there that a gang of four individuals viciously attacked him, using deadly weapons to inflict fatal injuries. The assailants hacked Gopalkrishnan to death while he was on his way to meet Priya, leaving him lying in a pool of his own blood.

Passersby stumbled upon the gruesome scene and immediately alerted the authorities. The police swiftly arrived at the location and rushed Gopalkrishnan to a nearby government hospital. Tragically, despite the medical team’s efforts, he was declared dead upon arrival.

During the subsequent investigation, the police uncovered compelling evidence pointing towards Priya’s involvement in the murder. She was placed under surveillance, and the authorities managed to apprehend her near Puzhal during a routine vehicle check. However, the search for the remaining members of the four-member gang continues as they remain at large.
