The victim, a local resident, stated that she had parked her 2017 Honda Pilot at around 9:15 p.m. when three individuals suddenly approached her vehicle. Two of the carjackers went to the driver’s side, while the third approached the passenger side. To the victim’s horror, both individuals on the driver’s side brandished weapons – one had a gun, while the other had a knife.

Under duress, the carjackers demanded that the victim drive them to the nearest bank. However, the victim managed to escape before the suspects took off with her Honda. She immediately reported the incident to the authorities, who launched an investigation.

One of the suspects has been identified as 18-year-old Samuel Fikru. The Montgomery County Police served Fikru with an arrest warrant while he was already in custody at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges. The second suspect, a 16-year-old, is being charged as an adult and was also in police custody when he was served with the arrest warrant for a strong-armed robbery he committed the day before.

While two of the suspects have been apprehended, detectives are still actively searching for the third individual involved in the armed carjacking. Authorities are urging anyone with information about this crime or the whereabouts of the third suspect to come forward and contact Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects, and callers can remain anonymous.
