28-Year-Old Man Allegedly Beaten to Death by Woman’s Relatives in Greater Noida West

A 28-year-old man was reportedly subjected to severe beating by the relatives of a woman he was secretly meeting in Greater Noida West. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Thursday night, as confirmed by the police on Friday.

The Greater Noida police have initiated an investigation into the incident and lodged a case against unidentified suspects.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Suniti, the police were alerted about the incident through a memo received from the district hospital in Sector 30, Noida.

“On Thursday night, the Bisrakh police station received a memo from the district hospital informing them about the demise of Dheeraj Kumar, a 28-year-old man hailing from Hardoi and residing in Roja Yakubpur village, Greater Noida West. His brother, Neeraj Kumar, brought him to the hospital, where it was discovered that he had been brutally beaten with sticks, leading to his untimely death,” stated Suniti.

The deceased and his brother both worked as security guards in a high-rise society located in Sector 16, Greater Noida West.

During the inquiry, Neeraj revealed that he received a call from Dheeraj’s phone at around 9:30 am on Thursday. “The unidentified caller informed Neeraj that his brother had been caught with a woman and instructed him to come to an abandoned factory in Ecotech-12, Greater Noida, to pick him up. This sector is situated next to the village where Dheeraj and Neeraj resided,” revealed an anonymous police officer involved in the investigation.

Upon arrival, Neeraj discovered Dheeraj in a severely injured state. “Dheeraj was immediately rushed to a private hospital and later referred to the district hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries on Thursday night. Further investigation has revealed that the deceased was involved in a relationship with a woman, and it is suspected that her family members might be responsible for the brutal assault,” added the Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Based on Neeraj’s complaint, a case has been registered against unidentified suspects under charges of causing death by negligence.

“We have identified some potential suspects and formed three teams to apprehend them. Once they are interrogated, investigators will gain a clearer understanding of the case and the motive behind the victim’s death,” said the officer.

The body has undergone an autopsy and was subsequently handed over to the family on Friday.
