Teenager Found Dead with Multiple Stab Wounds near Select City Walk in South Delhi

In a tragic incident, the lifeless body of a 17-year-old boy was discovered on Friday morning near the popular shopping destination, Select City Walk, in Saket, South Delhi. The local authorities reported that the victim had sustained numerous stab wounds, and alongside the body, beer bottles and a blood-stained stone were found.

The incident came to light when the police received a distress call informing them about a dead body found in the vicinity of Satpula Park, close to Khirki Village. The victim, identified as Vivek Jadhav, had gone missing from his residence in Begumpur since the previous evening. Upon examination, it was revealed that the young boy had suffered multiple stab wounds on his stomach, chest, neck, and face.

According to Ronit Jadhav, the victim’s paternal uncle, Vivek had left home around 7.30 p.m. in the company of his friends, Deva and Kalu. Their intended destination was Khirki Village. Recounting the events, Ronit, who is 38 years old, expressed his anguish over the tragic loss.

The police swiftly apprehended three minors implicated in the crime with the aid of camera surveillance. During the interrogation, one of the detained minors disclosed that Jadhav had assaulted him a few months ago during a heated argument. Shedding light on the motive, DCP (South) Chandan Chowdhury stated, “As per the minor’s statement, he had conspired with five other acquaintances to seek revenge for the past altercation by luring Vivek to Satpula Park under the pretense of sharing a drink, and then killing him with the assistance of his friends.”

Detailing the gruesome events that unfolded, Ms. Chowdhury added, “At the park, the minors allegedly brutally stabbed Jadhav and mercilessly assaulted him with stones. Once they confirmed his demise, they callously left his lifeless body in a secluded corner of the park.”

Despite the arrest of three suspects, the police are still on the lookout for the two remaining minors involved in the heinous crime. An FIR has been lodged against the perpetrators under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

This shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and safety measures. The authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served, and that such acts of violence are met with the full force of the law.
