Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Girl Students in Toba Tek Singh

Toba Tek Singh witnessed a heart-wrenching incident on Wednesday when two young girl students lost their lives in a devastating head-on collision between two motorcycle-rickshaws. The incident occurred on Mochiwala Road in Gojra, leaving four others injured.

According to Rescue 1122, the unfortunate accident took place as a rickshaw, ferrying girl students from Chak 415-JB village to Gojra, collided with another rickshaw near Chak 354-JB, Qadirabad. The heavy fog and poor visibility contributed to the collision. As a result of the impact, all six girls riding the rickshaw were thrown off, and a sugarcane-laden tractor-trolley approaching from behind tragically ran over them.

The collision claimed the lives of Hajira Ijaz, aged 15, and Meerab Tariq, aged 9. The injured victims, identified as Saira Attique (20), Naseem Fida (17), Iqra Asif (18), and Bazla Sattar (17), were immediately rushed to the Gojra THQ hospital for medical assistance.

Additionally, both rickshaw drivers, Fayaz and Noaman, sustained injuries and received medical attention at the hospital.

As a precautionary measure, Iqra was subsequently referred to the Faisalabad Allied hospital from the Gojra THQ hospital for specialized treatment. In a gesture of forgiveness and compassion, the parents of the deceased and injured girls have chosen to pardon the tractor-trolley driver involved in the accident.

Tragedy struck once again as Mahmood Ahmad, a motorcyclist, lost his life after colliding with a sugarcane-laden tractor-trolley parked by the roadside on Rajana-Samundri Road near Chak 354 GB.

Property Dispute Turns Violent in Pirmhahal

A property dispute took a violent turn in Pirmhahal, near the Gogera branch canal bridge of Chak 725 GB, resulting in two brothers being shot and critically injured by two other brothers. The incident unfolded when Tanweer Abbas and Kashif Abbas opened fire on Arif Saeed and Asif Saeed, who were present in their shop. The dispute centered around the ownership rights of the shop.

Following the shooting, the injured individuals were swiftly taken to the Sindhillianwali Rural Health Centre and later referred to the Pirmahal THQ hospital to receive further medical care and attention.
