According to investigators, the two suspects were using the stolen cars to commit multiple burglaries in Tampa and Pasco County. Sheriff Grady Judd expressed concern about the 14-year-old’s actions, questioning why a minor was out at 1 a.m. stealing cars and committing crimes. He also emphasized the importance of holding these individuals accountable and not tolerating such behavior.

Sheriff Judd highlighted the consequences these thieves will face and referred to himself as “Santa Grady,” warning that if people don’t secure their belongings, the criminals will take them and give them as Christmas presents to their own children or associates.

Both suspects have a history of criminal activity. Lucas has an extensive record, with 30 previous felony charges, 12 misdemeanors, and 19 re-arrest charges. The 14-year-old suspect has been arrested four times prior to this incident.
