Terrence Darryl Smith traveled from New York to Spotsylvania in Virginia on October 28 to visit a female friend. However, when his family realized that he had not returned to New York and had not been in contact with them, they grew increasingly concerned as this behavior was out of character for Smith.

After persistent efforts from Smith’s family, his friend reported him missing on November 1, prompting an investigation.

On November 16, detectives made a tragic discovery when they found human remains not far from the woman’s residence, in the area of Timber Ridge Townhomes.

The remains have now been positively identified as those of Terrence Darryl Smith. However, the cause of his death remains undetermined at this time.
