The incident has left the community shocked and concerned about their safety.

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office released a statement confirming that the suspect, Joshua Martinelli, allegedly discharged several rounds from an AK-47-style rifle into his neighbor’s residence, which is part of a two-family home located on Wright Avenue. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident, although a bullet did pierce through a pair of pants worn by a resident in the adjoining property. Shockingly, Martinelli’s dog was reportedly present alongside him during the shooting.

Following his arrest, Martinelli was brought before Northampton District Court where he was arraigned on several charges. He is currently being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. If convicted, Martinelli could face severe penalties.

The local authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of residents and address any potential threats.
