Late on Wednesday night, Israeli forces entered the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths. During the operation, reconnaissance drones were seen hovering overhead.

The soldiers proceeded to invade and ransack numerous homes in the neighborhood, using tear gas canisters and live ammunition. They encountered fierce resistance from armed Palestinian fighters, leading to heavy exchanges of fire.

Tragically, an armed drone targeted a group of Palestinian men near the Khaled Bin Al-Waleed Mosque in the Eastern neighborhood, resulting in the death of three young men and a child. Ten others were injured, three of whom are in critical condition. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) transported the deceased and seriously wounded to nearby hospitals.

The victims have been identified as Ahmed Jamal Abu Zina, 27, Bashar Haitham Abu Zaid (the child), and Ayoub Muhammad Saleh Jalamneh, 27. Medical sources at Ibn Sina Hospital received two Palestinians who were killed by the drone strike and five others who were injured, one of whom is in serious condition. Al-Razi Hospital also received five injured individuals, two of whom are in a critical state.

Following the evacuation of homes in the Eastern neighborhood, more than five “Energa” missiles were fired, targeting an unknown number of houses. One homeowner reported that his residence and adjacent properties were besieged, evacuated, and subsequently struck by a missile, as well as a barrage of live rounds.

The brutal attack continued into the early hours of the morning, with additional reinforcements being sent to the city. This marks the third consecutive day of the ongoing assault.

Earlier in the evening, Israeli soldiers fired an “Energa” missile at a barber shop in the Jenin refugee camp, completely demolishing it. According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), more than 500 Palestinians have been abducted by occupation forces since the start of this continuous incursion, although many have since been released.

In separate incidents on Wednesday, soldiers shot a young woman in the chest and a young man in the head with live ammunition in the Jenin refugee camp. Two young men sustained shrapnel wounds in the upper body, while another woman was shot in the foot. Two others were also assaulted by the occupation forces, resulting in various injuries.

Furthermore, the army fired an “Energa” missile at a Palestinian-owned home in the Jenin refugee camp, completely destroying it. At least three citizens were abducted after soldiers invaded and searched their homes in the city.

The situation remains tense and volatile, with ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance fighters. The international community has condemned the violence and called for an immediate and peaceful resolution to the conflict.
