Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Wadh Municipal Committee Chairman and Two Others

KHUZDAR, December 14th, 2023 –

In a devastating incident on Wednesday, three individuals, including the esteemed Chairman of Wadh Municipal Committee (WMC), lost their lives while three others sustained critical injuries in a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a jeep on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway.

According to Levies officials, the ill-fated journey involved Chairman Mohammad Umar of the WMC, the headmaster of a government-run school, and several others who were traveling together in a pickup truck. Tragedy struck when they reached the Waheer area of Wadh, as a jeep approaching from the opposite direction collided with their vehicle.

The horrifying impact of the collision led to the immediate demise of the three individuals. One of the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Usman, the headmaster, while the identity of the third victim, a woman, is yet to be ascertained. Among the injured parties, one also includes a woman who was accompanying them.

Responding swiftly to the distress call, Levies personnel promptly transferred the bodies and the injured victims to the district hospital in Khuzdar for further medical attention and post-mortem procedures.

Preliminary investigations by the authorities have suggested that the accident was primarily caused by excessive speeding, emphasizing the importance of adhering to prescribed speed limits and prioritizing road safety.

This tragic incident has left the close-knit community of Khuzdar in mourning for the loss of the esteemed Chairman of Wadh Municipal Committee and the two other individuals who lost their lives in this unfortunate accident.
