Autopsy Reveals South Shore Woman Found Dead in Apartment Was Strangled, Police Investigating

An autopsy conducted on Wednesday has confirmed that a female discovered deceased inside an apartment building in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood was a victim of strangulation. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Amarise Parker but did not provide her age.

According to the Chicago Police, the unidentified female was found by someone inside a residence in the 7200 block of South Phillips Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The autopsy findings revealed that Parker’s cause of death was a combination of asphyxiation and strangulation, leading the authorities to rule her death as a homicide. The investigation into the incident is currently underway, and no arrests have been made in connection with the slaying.

At present, Parker’s family remains unavailable for comment regarding this tragic event.
