MOROCCO, Ind. – An Illinois resident found herself in the hospital following a collision involving two vehicles on Thursday morning in Indiana.

Accident Details

Around 9:45 a.m., deputies from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene at the intersection of US 41 and SR 14 after receiving reports of a crash. The incident involved a Chevrolet Traverse and a Peterbilt semi-truck.

According to the investigation conducted by law enforcement, the 68-year-old driver of the Traverse, hailing from Monticello, Illinois, was traveling eastbound on CR 100 N. Unfortunately, she failed to yield the right-of-way to the northbound semi-truck, resulting in the collision.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage due to the impact, rendering them immobile.

Injuries and Evaluation

The Illinois woman, whose name has not been disclosed, was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Luckily, her injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
