The incident took place around 11pm, and passersby discovered Gupta’s body in a pool of blood. They immediately alerted the authorities, and a police team rushed Gupta to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. The police have also recovered the bike from the accident spot for further investigation.
