Pregnant Woman Allegedly Burned Alive by Husband in Bihar
Patna: In a horrifying incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly burned alive by her husband in Sudama Puri village, under the Barhat police station area in Jamui district, Bihar. The victim, identified as Radha Devi (27), succumbed to her burn injuries during treatment at the hospital. Reports suggest that the husband committed this heinous crime because he wanted his wife to give birth to a son.

The victims, identified as Reena, Gursifat, and Kriyans, were residents of Shantinagar Kurdi. The complaint filed by Reena’s brother accuses Rakesh Kumar of the crime, citing a dowry dispute as the motive. Rakesh, who attempted suicide, is currently hospitalized. The investigation is ongoing, awaiting autopsy reports to determine the cause of death.
A man named Arbind Yadav killed his wife and two sons, both below 4 years of age, by tying ropes around their necks in his house at Ramagya village. Arbind took this extreme step due to his wife’s frequent protests against his illicit relationship. The Chakiya SDPO, Satyendra Kumar Singh, mentioned that the police recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem. Arbind Yadav, along with other family members, fled the scene, and the authorities are conducting raids to apprehend him. The accused’s parents have also fled the village.

The incident stemmed from a family dispute, as mentioned in the suicide note found in the man’s pocket. The police were informed by the brother-in-law of the deceased, who reported the brutal treatment of his sister and her children. The bodies of the wife and sons were found in a pool of blood, and it was determined that they were murdered with a sharp weapon.
