One-Year-Old Baby Boy Dies After Falling from Balcony in Naigaon, Maharashtra

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Mumbai, December 13: In a tragic incident in Maharashtra, a one-year-old toddler lost his life after accidentally falling from the balcony of his house in Naigaon. The deceased has been identified as Munna Rakesh Singh, who reportedly fell from the balcony of his third-floor residence in Krishna Apartments near Gavdevi Temple in Naigaon. This shocking incident occurred on November 27 when the infant was playing in his balcony.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the incident came to light after doctors at Cooper Hospital alerted the Juhu police. As a result, the police registered a case of accidental death and initiated an investigation. Later on December 11, the case was transferred to Naigaon police.

The post-mortem report confirmed that Singh’s death was the result of an accident. An officer stated, “We have registered an ADR and are recording the statements of his family members.” The officer further mentioned that Munna Rakesh Singh was immediately rushed to Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle for treatment.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by the medical staff, the infant succumbed to his injuries on November 30. The neighbors of the deceased boy informed the police that the child’s grandfather, a retired army personnel, was residing with his two sons and their families in Naigaon. Eyewitnesses revealed that the incident occurred while the deceased boy’s elder sister and other cousins were playing in the balcony.

During their playtime, one of the children lifted Singh, which led to him leaping forward and falling off the railing. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of Singh’s tragic death.
