Nashik city was shaken by a tragic incident on Monday morning when a property dispute between two brothers turned fatal. The dispute, which arose due to the objection of the elder brother, resulted in his murder by his younger sibling. The incident took place in the Upanagar area of Nashik city, sending shockwaves throughout the community.

The victim, Mayank Jadhav, 34 years old, was killed by his 32-year-old brother, Akash. The disagreement between the brothers escalated when Mayank voiced his opposition to the sale of their family residence. In a fit of rage, Akash attacked Mayank with a sharp instrument, causing serious injuries. Not stopping there, Akash then grabbed a grinding stone and struck his brother with it. Finally, he resorted to strangling Mayank with a belt, ending his life.

The incident occurred on Monday morning at around 10 am in Ramdas Swaminagar, located along Takli Road, behind Gandhinagar press quarters. Both brothers, along with their mother, resided in the family home. However, their mother was not present at the time of the altercation.

Neighbours who overheard the brothers’ heated argument immediately contacted a relative, who promptly informed the police. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered Mayank’s lifeless body and found Akash sitting in a corner. Akash was swiftly arrested by the police, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against him under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

This tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
