Tragic Incident: IIT-JEE Aspirant Brutally Beaten to Death in Indira Vihar

In a shocking turn of events, a 17-year-old student who aspired to crack the prestigious IIT-JEE exam was mercilessly beaten to death in the Indira Vihar area of our city. The local authorities have confirmed this tragic incident, which occurred on Tuesday.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Satyaveer, was subjected to a brutal assault involving iron rods and chains. The culprits, alleged to be fellow coaching students, attacked Satyaveer while he was peacefully sitting at a tea stall on Monday evening.

Satyaveer, who had been attending a coaching institute in our city for the past two years, was a diligent Class 11 student. Sadly, his dreams and aspirations were cut short when he succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.

The grieving family of the deceased is currently en route from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and upon their arrival, a post-mortem will be conducted at the mortuary of the New Medical College Hospital.

A witness, a shopkeeper in the vicinity, recounted the horrific incident, stating that he saw a group of youths relentlessly chase down and assault Satyaveer with iron rods and chains. The brawl erupted around 7 pm on Monday, leaving the onlookers in a state of shock and disbelief.

Providing further details, law enforcement officials revealed that the victim, severely injured in the attack, managed to make it to his room. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated rapidly during the night, prompting his family to rush him to the hospital. Tragically, all efforts to save his life proved futile.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhawani Singh, the circle officer of the area, disclosed that they have detained several individuals suspected to be involved in the incident. However, the motive behind this heinous crime is yet to be ascertained. The authorities are currently interrogating the suspects to unearth the truth.

This horrific incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving everyone appalled and grieving. The loss of a young and promising life is not just a tragedy for the victim’s family, but for the entire society.
