Gunman Ajit Singh Dies During Treatment for Injuries from Gogamedi Attack

Jaipur, Rajasthan – Sources have confirmed that Ajit Singh, the gunman who sustained bullet injuries during the fatal attack on Gogamedi on December 5, has sadly passed away while undergoing treatment at Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, as the investigation into the murder case continues.

SIT Recreates Crime Scene at Gogamedi’s Residence

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Rajasthan Police, assigned to probe the high-profile murder case, made significant progress on Tuesday. They recreated the crime scene at Gogamedi’s residence in Shyam Nagar locality, Jaipur by bringing the shooters to the spot. This meticulous process aims to gather additional evidence and gain a deeper understanding of the events that unfolded on that fateful day.

The Trauma Ward at Sawai Mansingh Hospital, where Ajit Singh was admitted, sadly became the site of his untimely demise. Alongside Gogamedi and Singh, Naveen Shekhawat, who accompanied the shooters to Gogamedi’s house, also lost his life during the attack. The court has now sent four accused, including the two identified shooters, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod, into police custody for further investigation.

Crime Scene Recreation and Forensic Expertise

The SIT, led by Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Kailash Chandra Bishnoi and Additional DCP (West) Ram Singh Shekhawat, left no stone unturned during the recreation of the crime scene. In collaboration with a joint team of forensic experts and police, they meticulously reconstructed the incident. Sources indicate that both shooters accurately recreated the sequence of events, providing valuable insights into the murder.

The scene recreation involved photography and videography, documenting every detail for analysis and reference. Director FSL Ajay Kumar Sharma headed the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, ensuring the collection of crucial evidence. Additional Police Commissioner Kailash Chand Bishnoi revealed that the investigation has also uncovered the financial network utilized to carry out the murder.

Money Trail Unveiled

According to the ACP, a significant breakthrough came with the discovery of Rs 5,98,500 transferred to an ICICI Bank account belonging to a girl residing in Mahendra alias Sameer’s flat. These transactions occurred on various dates, including December 12, November 6, November 29, and November 30. Police investigations indicate that the money was deposited through cash deposit machines at ICICI Bank branches in Patiala and Chandigarh.

Mahendra alias Sameer and Pooja Saini, presenting themselves as a Punjabi couple named Sameer Gujaris and Pooja Batra, gained the trust of the girl residing with them in the flat. They convinced her to allow any earnings from their hotel business to be deposited into her account, with the understanding that it would be withdrawn later. The police have seized vehicles belonging to Mahendra and Pooja, which were allegedly used for arms smuggling and criminal activities. These vehicles include two cars, a motorcycle, and a scooty.

Arrest Made in Connection with Misleading Social Media Posts

In a separate development, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph announced the arrest of Kuldeep, an individual who created panic and spread misleading information on social media regarding the Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi murder case. The suspect was apprehended in Haryana and is currently under police custody for further investigation. The authorities have requested a three-day custody demand to gather more information.
