Escaped Prisoner Gino Hagenkotter Found Dead in Philadelphia Warehouse

The search for the escaped prisoner, Gino Hagenkotter, has finally come to an end following a shocking discovery made in a warehouse located in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office recently announced that the body of an unidentified male, previously known as “John Doe,” has been positively identified as Gino Hagenkotter.

Gino Hagenkotter, aged 34, had managed to escape from custody on November 30 while working at an orchard near the Riverside Correctional Facility. He had cunningly requested a bathroom break from the corrections officer, exploiting the opportunity to flee.

The incident took a grisly turn on December 11 when the Philadelphia police received a distress call regarding an unresponsive male at a warehouse situated on 1100 East Venango Street in Kensington.

Upon arrival, the police found evidence suggesting that Hagenkotter had forced his way into the warehouse. There was a broken air vent, a displaced fan, and a ladder lying nearby, indicating signs of forced entry.

The Philadelphia Fire Department medics arrived at the scene and declared Hagenkotter dead. Subsequently, his body was transferred to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office under the anonymous designation of “John Doe.”

It was through meticulous fingerprint analysis that Gino Hagenkotter was finally identified. The U.S. Marshals Service in Philadelphia took the responsibility of informing Hagenkotter’s family about his tragic demise.

According to the police, the last sighting of Hagenkotter was near 8201 State Road shortly before noon on November 30.

Earlier in December, the U.S. Marshals and Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers offered a reward of £2,000 in hopes of gathering information leading to Hagenkotter’s capture.

At present, the authorities have not been able to determine the cause of Gino Hagenkotter’s death, leaving his family and law enforcement with unanswered questions.
