Clark County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Truck Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Vancouver, Wash. (KPTV) – The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying the truck responsible for a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the loss of a life.

According to deputies, they received an emergency call around 12:45 a.m. on December 12th, reporting a pedestrian being struck by a car on Northeast Highway 99 near the intersection with Northeast 82nd Street in Vancouver.

Witnesses at the scene revealed that the car fled immediately after the collision. Sadly, first responders discovered the victim, identified as 66-year-old Cynthia Clift, deceased upon arrival.

The Urgency for Public Assistance

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking the community’s cooperation in identifying the truck involved in this fatal hit-and-run. By coming forward with any information, witnesses can play a vital role in bringing justice to the victim and her family.

Truck Description and Suspect Details

Investigators have narrowed down the make and model of the truck to a white Chevrolet Silverado 2500 or 3500, manufactured between 2015 and 2019. The truck is believed to be a long-bed model, with a distinct mid-rise truck cap over the bed.

After the tragic incident, the truck was observed continuing its journey southbound on NE Highway 99. It then made a right turn onto NE 78th Street before heading northbound on I-5.
