17-Year-Old IIT-JEE Aspirant Beaten to Death in Kota: Suspects Detained
Kota, India – In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old IIT-JEE aspirant was beaten to death in the Indira Vihar area of Kota on Monday evening. The victim, identified as Satyaveer alias Rajveer alias Ronak, was a resident of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and had been preparing for the prestigious IIT-JEE exams for the past two years.

According to eyewitnesses, Satyaveer was attacked by a group of youths armed with iron rods and chains while he was at a tea stall. The assailants, who are also believed to be coaching students, chased him and brutally assaulted him, causing him to collapse. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The police have detained several suspects in connection with the attack. Initial investigations suggest that a scuffle had broken out among coaching students earlier in the evening, resulting in one student getting injured. However, the motive behind the fatal attack on Satyaveer is still unknown and is under investigation.
Speaking about the incident, Circle Officer DSP Bhawani Singh said, “We have detained around 7-8 coaching students who are suspected to be involved in the attack. We are currently analyzing video footage and conducting further interrogations to determine the exact cause of the assault.”
The suspects under interrogation are also coaching students, most of whom hail from Bihar. The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the scuffle among them. The postmortem report is awaited to determine the exact cause of Satyaveer’s death.

Satyaveer’s body has been placed in the mortuary of the New Medical College Hospital until his family members arrive from Uttar Pradesh. The police are ensuring all necessary procedures are followed and are committed to bringing the culprits to justice.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with locals expressing their grief and demanding swift action against the perpetrators. The tragic incident highlights the need for stricter security measures and the importance of ensuring the safety of students studying away from home.
