Ahmedabad Couple Tragically Run Over by Municipal Corporation Truck in Vasna Locality

Ahmedabad, UK – A distressing incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Vasna locality, where a couple tragically lost their lives after being run over by a truck belonging to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The incident took place at approximately 5 am, while the woman was engrossed in cooking, according to a report by PTI.

The driver of the truck, which was equipped with a mounted machine used for road sweeping, unfortunately lost control over the vehicle’s wheels, resulting in the couple being fatally injured. An official from M-division traffic police station confirmed the details of the incident.

Identified as Premilaben, aged 39, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while her husband sustained severe injuries. Prompt medical attention was provided to the injured man, who was immediately taken to Sola Civil Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s body was transported to a government hospital for post-mortem examination, as per the official.

An ongoing investigation is being conducted by a dedicated police team deployed at the accident site. The authorities are determined to ascertain the circumstances that led to this devastating incident, ensuring that justice is served and appropriate measures are taken to prevent such accidents in the future.
