In south Tulsa, Oklahoma, a tragic shooting incident occurred on Friday night resulting in the death of one person and the subsequent arrest of a suspect, as confirmed by the Tulsa Police Department (TPD). The incident took place in the vicinity of 61st and Peoria.

The victim, identified as 24-year-old Kareem King, was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Another individual was also injured during the shooting but has received medical treatment and has since been discharged from the hospital. Following the incident, King was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries just before midnight.

The suspect, Jaquan Stites, was apprehended by the police while responding to a separate call

. He has been arrested and is now facing charges including manslaughter, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
