Three Women Charged in Home Break-In

Three women were apprehended by Sherwood police just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, following their attempt to break into an occupied mobile home, as stated in the arrest report.

Gwendalyn Kelley, aged 45, and Sydnee Karaline Redding, aged 25, both hailing from Little Rock, along with Amanda Looper, aged 30, from Subiaco, were arrested after their vehicle was stopped by the police, in response to a reported burglary in progress via the 911 emergency line, according to the arrest report. Upon arrival at a mobile home park located at 4600 Rixie Road, the homeowner informed the police that Kelley and Redding had made an attempt to forcefully break down the front door of her home. Their violent attempt caused the door to slightly dislodge from the door-frame, while the resident struggled to hold it closed.

Subsequently, the women proceeded to the rear of the mobile home, where they tried to gain access through a window that housed an air-conditioning unit. In the process, they broke the side shade that held the unit onto the window frame. One of the women then attempted to force her way through the broken side panel, but was successfully deterred by the homeowner.

The report further mentioned that the three women were stopped and apprehended near a First Mart convenience store, situated at 4209 E. Kiehl Ave. in Sherwood. As per the online jail roster, all three individuals have been charged with residential burglary and were detained at the Pulaski County jail as of Sunday night.

Man, 55, Jailed on Drug Charge

An individual from Jacksonville, aged 55, who was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by the North Little Rock police near Metro Scrap Metals on Galloway Road at approximately 10:35 p.m. on Friday, has been detained on charges of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.

The report mentioned that Terry Jerome Yelder was seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle when the officer detected the scent of marijuana, leading to a subsequent search of the vehicle. During the search, the police found Yelder’s identification in a bag on the floorboard where he was seated. Upon discovering that Yelder had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear in Pulaski County Circuit Court, he was taken into custody, as per the report.

According to records from Pulaski County Circuit Court, Yelder was charged with possession of methamphetamine in June, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest on July 10, after he failed to appear for a scheduled plea and arraignment hearing.

Based on the Pulaski County jail roster, Yelder is currently being held without bail as of Sunday night.

NLR Man Arrested after I-30 Crash

A man from North Little Rock was apprehended on Saturday night, following a pursuit by the Little Rock police that culminated in the suspect crashing the vehicle he was driving on Interstate 30 at Baseline Road, according to an arrest report by the Little Rock police.

The report indicated that the Little Rock police attempted to halt a stolen vehicle shortly before midnight on Saturday, but the driver accelerated through an area with high pedestrian activity, eventually colliding with another vehicle at a significant speed. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Carmelo Young from North Little Rock, then fled on foot after jumping out of the crashed vehicle. However, he was swiftly apprehended a short distance away, as per the report.

The report further stated that Young was initially transported to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock and was subsequently taken to the Pulaski County jail. He is currently facing charges of felony theft by receiving, felony fleeing, second-degree criminal mischief, and felony leaving the scene of an accident, based on the Pulaski County jail roster.

As of Sunday night, Young was being held without bail.
