Saharanpur News: Youth Allegedly Shoots Teenage Sister Dead Over Texting

In a tragic incident that took place on Sunday night in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, a young man allegedly shot his teenage sister dead after she refused to stop texting on her phone. The accused, identified as Aditya, was involved in a heated argument with his sister Muskan over her continuous texting. The situation quickly escalated, and in a fit of rage, Aditya retrieved a country-made pistol and fired at his sister.

The incident occurred in Shekhpur village, where Muskan was engrossed in her phone when Aditya demanded her to stop. When she refused, a quarrel broke out between the siblings. Unfortunately, it resulted in a tragic turn of events, leaving Muskan fatally wounded. Local residents rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was declared brought dead by ASP (Saharanpur) Abhimaniyu Manglik. Notably, their mother Babita was reportedly in another room during the incident.

Initial investigations indicate that Aditya’s anger stemmed from Muskan’s relationship with a youth belonging to a different community within the same village. This revelation provides a possible motive behind the brother’s extreme action.

The authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused, who is currently on the run. The case is being investigated thoroughly from all angles to uncover additional details surrounding the incident.

Similar Tragedy in Bihar’s Patna

In a separate incident that occurred on the same day, a man allegedly killed his 16-year-old daughter in Bihar’s Patna. The victim, identified as Babli Kumari, was reportedly involved in a relationship with a local boy. The accused, Saho Chaudhary, is said to have buried the girl’s body vertically in an attempt to mislead the police.

The incident took place in Nalanda’s Onda village, raising concerns about the safety of young individuals involved in relationships. Authorities have registered a case and are making efforts to apprehend the absconding accused.

Authorities Struggle to Retrieve the Buried Body

As the girl’s body was buried vertically, the process of exhuming it proved to be challenging and time-consuming. Officials had to employ an earthmoving machine to successfully retrieve the body.
