The peaceful community of Marina del Rey, located in California, was shaken by a tragic incident when a man was discovered dead inside a vehicle shortly after the lifeless body of a woman was found on a boat. The deceased man has been identified as 33-year-old Kevin Nelson Jr., while the woman’s identity is yet to be released.

The Medical Examiner’s office has determined that Kevin Nelson Jr. died as a result of strangulation, and his death has been ruled a suicide. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are still under investigation.

Authorities were alerted to the distressing situation when deputies from the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station received a call at 11:12 a.m. on Thursday. The call pertained to a welfare check at a boat located on Tahiti Way, near Via Marina in the marina area. It was at this location that they discovered the lifeless body of the unidentified woman.

During the course of their investigation, law enforcement officers were notified by a member of the community who was familiar with the individuals residing on the boat. The community member informed the Los Angeles Police Department about a parked vehicle in close proximity to the boat. The vehicle was located on the 100 block of Via Marina, and it is here that the deceased man, Kevin Nelson Jr., was found.

Authorities have stated that there are currently no suspects in connection with these tragic events.
