Jurupa Valley Man Identified as Victim of Hit-and-Run Incident

A 24-year-old man from Jurupa Valley, California, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Saturday. The victim, Emilio Jimenez, was walking along Van Buren Boulevard just north of 56th Street when the incident took place.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau confirmed the identity of the victim as Emilio Jimenez, according to Sgt. Ignacio Robles. The incident occurred on the southbound side of Van Buren Boulevard, where Jimenez was walking at the time of the crash. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding deputies.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction team is currently investigating the incident. As part of the investigation, the intersection was closed for several hours to collect evidence and reconstruct the events leading up to the hit-and-run.
