The shocking discovery was made on 3rd December by a foreign worker conducting repairs at the property, who stumbled upon the gruesome scene. The victim was reportedly the girlfriend of the previous tenant of the house.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan revealed on Saturday (9th December) that the main suspect in the murder investigation is also an Indian national. The authorities are actively coordinating with the Indian Embassy and Indian police to locate and apprehend the suspects, and gather further information from the victim’s family.

Significant Progress in Investigation – Foreign Man Detained

The investigation has made significant progress, with the main suspect positively identified and a 53-year-old foreign man detained earlier. However, two additional foreign individuals are still being sought in connection with the case.

Comm Hussein urged the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the victim or her acquaintances, emphasizing the importance of community assistance in solving the crime. The police have already interviewed 10 witnesses, resulting in a sketch of the victim based on their accounts.

The woman’s body was discovered by a foreign worker repairing the house at 10:58 pm on 3rd December. The house had been previously rented by two foreign men between August 2019 and October 2021.

According to Comm Hussein, the house owner found the water tub in the bathroom covered with cement during an inspection prior to renting it to new tenants. The previous tenant had claimed that liquid from a rat carcass was flowing into the tub, providing a false explanation. The truth was uncovered only after the landlord alerted the police when foreign workers hired to fix the roof made the horrifying discovery.

Probable Cause of Death and Recovery Efforts

Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, the Police Chief for the South Klang District, revealed that a forensic analysis conducted at Shah Alam Hospital indicated that the probable cause of the woman’s death was neck compression. Firefighters assisted in the recovery of the body by breaking the cement that encased the water tub.

The police are now hopeful that these new developments in the investigation will lead to a swift resolution of the case. They encourage anyone with information related to the victim or her acquaintances to contact the nearest police station immediately.
