At that moment, Taylor rolled down his window and fired a single shot, hitting the side mirror of the nurse’s Jeep Compass and shattering the window.

Fortunately, the nurse escaped unharmed.

Authorities believe the shooting to be a random act, as no apparent connection exists between Taylor and the victim.

The nurse managed to note down the license plate number of Taylor’s vehicle, which enabled detectives to identify him as the suspected shooter.

Taylor was subsequently arrested at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday when he returned to his residence near Rochester Road and South Boulevard. During the arrest, Taylor did not possess a weapon, but he put up a vigorous fight against the deputies, resulting in minor injuries to one of the detectives on the fugitive team. Detectives also recovered a 9mm handgun believed to have been used in the shooting.

The search operation involved the deployment of the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, helicopters, drones, and K9 units.
