92-Year-Old Florida Man Charged with Manslaughter after Fatal Attack at Assisted Living Center

STUART, Fla. — In a tragic incident that has shocked the local community, a 92-year-old man from Stuart, Florida, has been charged with manslaughter after assaulting a fellow resident at an assisted living center, resulting in the victim’s untimely death. The authorities have taken swift action against the accused, Wallace Arthur Server, who was initially charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person. However, following the victim’s passing, the charge was upgraded to manslaughter.

The distressing incident took place at the Inspiritas of Stuart Memory Care facility, where both Server and the deceased 87-year-old victim resided. On the evening of November 5, Stuart Police officers responded to reports of an assault on a resident at approximately 9:21 p.m. EST.

After a thorough investigation, detectives determined that the attack was carried out by another resident, with Server identified as the suspect. The victim suffered severe blunt-force trauma injuries and was immediately taken to HCA Hospital in Fort Pierce for urgent medical attention.

Over the course of several days, the victim received treatment at the hospital before being transferred to hospice care on November 14. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away on November 16 at 2:25 p.m. EST, as stated in the arrest warrant.

An autopsy conducted on the deceased revealed that the cause of death was determined to be homicide resulting from multiple blunt-force trauma. Such a tragic outcome has left the community grieving and seeking answers.

Wallace Arthur Server is currently being held without bond at the Martin County Jail, awaiting further legal proceedings. The authorities are committed to ensuring justice for the victim and maintaining the safety and security of all residents at assisted living facilities.
