92-Year-Old Florida Man Charged with Manslaughter After Fatal Attack at Assisted Living Center

A tragic incident unfolded at the Inspiritas of Stuart Memory Care facility in Stuart, Florida, when a 92-year-old man was charged with manslaughter after attacking a fellow resident. The victim, an 87-year-old individual, sadly succumbed to his injuries, leading to the upgraded charges against the accused.

The arrest warrant, issued by the Stuart Police Department, states that Wallace Arthur Server, a resident of Stuart, was initially charged with aggravated battery on an elderly person. However, following the victim’s demise, the charge was elevated to manslaughter. The arrest took place on November 16 at 10:20 a.m. EST.

The incident occurred on November 5, as reported by Treasure Coast Newspapers. At approximately 9:21 p.m. EST, Stuart Police officers responded to a distress call regarding an assault on a resident at the facility.

According to the arrest warrant, detectives investigating the case concluded that the victim was attacked by another resident. Wallace Arthur Server was subsequently identified as the suspect in the assault.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, suffered severe blunt-force trauma injuries and was rushed to HCA Hospital in Fort Pierce. After several days of treatment, the victim was transferred to hospice care on November 14. Unfortunately, two days later, on November 16 at 2:25 p.m. EST, the victim passed away.

An autopsy conducted by authorities confirmed that the cause of death was attributed to the multiple blunt-force traumas inflicted during the attack.

Wallace Arthur Server is currently being held without bond at the Martin County Jail, according to the arrest warrant.
