According to local reports, the assailants planned the heinous crime meticulously and executed it near Manichak Mod in Masaurhi. Anamika, an intermediate level student, hailed from Nadwan Chapaur Kajichak and would commute daily from her village to attend coaching classes in Masaurhi.

Tragically, Anamika could not survive the brutal gunshot wound inflicted upon her. She was immediately rushed to the sub-divisional hospital, where the medical professionals, after a valiant effort, declared her dead.

Upon receiving the distressing news, the police swiftly arrived at the crime scene, taking possession of the lifeless body of the 17-year-old girl.
