“Wedding rape arrest in Dausa” : 28-Year-Old Man Arrested for Raping 6-Year-Old at Wedding Ceremony

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Jaipur: In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man was arrested by Dausa police on Saturday on charges of raping a six-year-old girl during a wedding ceremony. The accused, identified as Anil Kumar Meena, resides near Madhur Vihar Colony, which is situated near the hotel where the victim and her family were staying.

According to the additional superintendent of police, Bajrang Singh Shekhawat, the accused had consumed alcohol prior to committing the crime. He entered the hotel under the pretext of seeking help and took advantage of the situation to commit the heinous act.

The incident took place during a wedding ceremony at the Hotel Marriage Garden in Kotwali Thana area of Dausa on Thursday. The victim’s mother had put her six-year-old daughter and two other siblings to sleep in the hotel hall. As they were leaving the function around 11pm, the mother and grandmother took hold of a child each and were looking for someone to bring the third and eldest girl inside.

At that moment, the accused was loitering near the gate and offered to bring the girl inside. Taking advantage of the opportunity, he found the girl alone and asleep in the hall, and raped her. When the girl screamed, the accused silenced her and handed her over to the grandmother. He then roamed around the marriage garden before returning home.

The family initially thought that the girl was disturbed in her sleep when she cried in pain upon being handed over to the grandmother. However, her condition deteriorated and she was admitted to the hospital, where it was confirmed that she had been raped.

The police officer stated that the accused confessed to the crime during the interrogation. In order to ensure justice, a total of 10 teams, consisting of 250 police personnel, conducted inquiries with around 500 people associated with the bride and groom’s sides. They also scanned 150 CCTVs for evidence.

Another incident of child rape was reported in Begusarai district, where a 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 60-year-old man. The accused has been arrested, and a case under the POCSO Act has been registered. The girl has undergone a medical examination, and efforts will be made to ensure a speedy trial to deliver justice.

In a separate case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) successfully brought back an accused person from the UAE who was wanted by the Karnataka police in connection with a rape case. The operation was coordinated by the Global Operations Centre of the CBI, along with other agencies, to bring back criminals wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies from abroad.
