Tragically, the second driver of the bus, Raju Gawde, who was sitting next to Dhekale, lost his life on the spot. Gawde, hailing from Sangli, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, seven passengers on the bus sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to two nearby hospitals for treatment.
The authorities had to temporarily disrupt traffic movement on the expressway following the accident. However, proper traffic flow was later restored, and the situation normalized.
