The suspect, Kordelro Harris, 36, now faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and theft of a piece of property valued between $1,000 and $2,500. Harris also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and theft of property.

Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. and discovered two victims. One woman was rushed to Regional One in critical condition, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The other victim, a male, was taken to the same hospital but was in a non-critical condition.

According to an affidavit from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, responding officers found Eason on the ground with a gunshot wound. Harris was also present at the scene, suffering from a stab wound on his left hand. The investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were living together and engaged in a sexual relationship.

Initially, Harris claimed that two masked men had broken into the home, demanding money at gunpoint. However, investigators confronted him with evidence contradicting his story. Harris then changed his account, alleging that an argument between him and Eason had escalated, resulting in her stabbing his hand. He claimed that he shot Eason as she tried to flee from him.
