Accident – Death – Obituary News : Hours after three individuals were apprehended in connection with the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, the Chandigarh police claimed on Sunday that they had no information about where the accused were arrested from.

Gurmukh Singh, DSP (Central), stated that they had received no information from either the Delhi Police or the Rajasthan Police regarding the arrest of the assailants in the murder case reported in Rajasthan. Despite learning about it through media reports, extensive searches were conducted in numerous hotels in Sector 22, but no leads were found. The records of visitors who had booked and stayed in the hotels were also examined.

Sector 22, located opposite the old Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Sector 17, houses around 60 small and large hotels and rest houses, falling under the jurisdiction of the Sector 17 police station.

Inspector Rajeev Kumar, Station House Officer of the Sector 17 police station, also confirmed that they had not received any information from the Rajasthan and Delhi Police regarding the arrest of the killers. He further added that in such cases, area police are usually informed about such arrests.

However, an anonymous IPS rank officer mentioned that the joint team of Rajasthan and Delhi Police could have apprehended the shooters in a “hot pursuit” without conducting a raid at the specific location. In such situations, the pursuing police team is not obligated to inform the local police about the arrest. Initial information suggests that the assailants were intercepted in a public transport vehicle near ISBT-17, Sector 22, and subsequently arrested.
