Total five individuals tragically lost their lives when a truck collided with a car in Chhattisgarh, resulting in a devastating accident. The incident occurred in Janjgir-Champa district on Sunday, claiming the lives of a newly married couple and three others, according to the local police.

Newlyweds’ Fatal Accident Shocks Shivrinarayan Town

A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded as a newly married couple met their untimely demise in a horrific car accident in Janjgir-Champa district, Chhattisgarh. The unfortunate incident took place early Sunday morning near Pakariya Jhulan village, falling under the jurisdiction of Mulmula police station.

The groom, identified as Shubham Soni, hailing from Baloda village in Janjgir-Champa, had recently tied the knot with his bride from Shivrinarayan the previous night. The couple, accompanied by three relatives, who also lost their lives in the accident, were on their way back to Baloda when the tragedy struck.

According to the police, the couple’s car collided head-on with a truck traveling in the opposite direction. The impact of the collision resulted in the immediate death of the four occupants of the car. The groom sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Among the victims was also the groom’s father, Omprakash Soni, who was driving at the time of the accident.

Authorities Investigate Causes of the Tragic Accident

Law enforcement authorities, who promptly arrived at the accident site upon receiving information, are currently conducting investigations to determine the factors that led to this devastating accident. One of their primary objectives is to locate the driver of the truck responsible for the collision. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem examinations, while the abandoned truck has been impounded by the police.
