“Bihar man arrested for Interpol operation” : Accused Arrested for Issuing Death Threats to Bageshwar Dham Chief Dhirendra Shastri

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Chhattarpur police in Madhya Pradesh, in partnership with Interpol, have successfully apprehended an individual who had issued death threats to Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Shastri via email. The arrest took place in Patna, Bihar, where the accused, claiming affiliation with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was located.

The accused, a resident of Shankardih in Bihar’s Nalanda district, had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. The threat was conveyed through a fake email ID to the official email address of Bageshwar Dham. As a result, a case was registered at Bamitha police station on October 20, 2023, under Sections 387 and 507 of the IPC against the unidentified individual.

Following the initial threat, another email from the same source was received on October 22, 2023. With the assistance of Interpol, the police were able to trace the IP address associated with the emails, leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of the accused.

To thoroughly investigate the matter, an investigative team was formed, headed by Chhatarpur Superintendent of Police Amit Sanghi. The team comprised Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh, SDOP Khajuraho Salil Sharma, Police Station-in-charge Bamitha Inspector Jaywant Kakodiya, Sub-Inspector Sanjay Pandey, and Cyber Cell-in-charge Chhatarpur Sub-Inspector Sidwarth Sharma.

Currently, the accused is in judicial custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.

In a separate incident, Delhi Police apprehended Lawrence Bishnoi gang shooters in connection with the firing at the Punjabi Bagh residence of liquor baron and former Punjab legislator Deep Malhotra. This arrest comes after a series of efforts made by the Delhi Police Special Cell.

Late Friday night, two more individuals, identified as Anish (23) and a 15-year-old juvenile, were arrested in a gunfight in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. The police have revealed that these individuals have links to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang and were assigned the task of carrying out a shootout at a prominent hotel in South Delhi.
