“₹20l Loan murder news” : Hyderabad Double Murder: Syed Ahmed Qadri and Syeda Meraj Fatima Killed Over Unpaid Loan

Accident – death – Obituary News : Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the police have cracked the double murder case of a cattle businessman and his dietician wife at Shaikpet. Three men, including one of the victim’s investors, have been arrested in connection with the crime. The motive behind the murder was revealed to be a loan dispute amounting to 20 lakh.

The victims, identified as Syed Ahmed Qadri (45) and his wife Syeda Meraj Fatima (40), were brutally murdered on November 29. The following day, Fatima’s body was discovered in an outhouse in the cattle shed by her sister. Initially, the family suspected Qadri of being involved in the crime, as the couple had been known to have heated arguments in the past.

However, the investigation took a different turn after the police reviewed CCTV footage from the cattle shed. The footage showed three men present at the scene on the morning and evening of November 29. Two of the men were identified as Asghar Shaikh (38), a goat businessman from Mumbai, and Mohammed Hussain (30), an auto driver. The third suspect, Mohammed Salman (20), was a welder from Hyderabad.

According to the Film Nagar police, Asghar had invested in Qadri’s cattle business and had also loaned him 20 lakh over a period of four years. When the police failed to locate Asghar at his residence, they eventually tracked him down in Mumbai. Based on his confession, the other two suspects were apprehended, and all three were arrested on Saturday.

As per Asghar’s statement to the police, a heated argument between Qadri and the three men over the unpaid loan led to the murder. They smothered Qadri in the early hours of November 29 and buried his body near a pond in Golconda. The police later exhumed the body, which was identified by Qadri’s family.

The accused were aware that Qadri intended to bring biryani for Fatima the following morning. They used this information to gain entry to the outhouse, posing as messengers sent by Qadri. After Fatima left for work, they entered the premises using Qadri’s key and waited for her to return. Once she refused to pay the loan, the accused killed her and stole her jewelry, which has since been recovered.

The Film Nagar inspector told STOI, “After Fatima refused to pay up, the accused killed her and stole her jewelry, which has been recovered.”

The arrest of the three suspects brings some closure to the double murder case that shocked the Shaikpet community. The police have successfully pieced together the sequence of events and gathered substantial evidence to support their case. The accused will now face legal proceedings for their involvement in the brutal murder of Syed Ahmed Qadri and Syeda Meraj Fatima.
