ALOR SETAR – A doctoral student in law at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) from Palestine, Esam MM Elkahlout, was tragically killed in an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip several days ago. The confirmation of his death was announced by UUM Vice Chancellor Prof Mohd Foad Sakdan today, prompting an outpouring of condolences and calls for an immediate end to the war in Palestine.
