In recent news, there has been a significant increase in road rule violations by e-rickshaws in Delhi. Obstructive or improper parking violations have become the most common offense, with the number of bookings for parking violations more than doubling compared to previous years. Additionally, cases of e-rickshaws plying on prohibited roads and operating without insurance have seen a rise. To address these issues, the Delhi Traffic Police has proposed regulations to control the number of e-rickshaws being registered in the city. While these three-wheelers play a crucial role in last-mile connectivity, their increasing numbers have led to congestion and safety risks on the roads.

Furthermore, a collision between a private bus and a truck on the Ambala-Naraingarh road resulted in 26 injuries. The injured individuals were immediately taken to the civil hospital in Ambala for treatment, with some being referred for further medical attention. Police are currently recording statements from the injured parties to determine the cause of the accident.

In another tragic incident, a school bus collided with a private bus in Roopangarh, Ajmer, claiming the lives of a driver and a 10-year-old student. The accident occurred due to heavy fog, and district collector Bharti Dixit has directed the necessary treatment for the injured. The driver, Sugan Jat, tragically died on the spot, while 12 injured individuals, including six students, were referred to hospitals in Ajmer for medical care.

These accidents serve as a somber reminder of the importance of safe driving practices and the need for continuous efforts to ensure road safety. Authorities must remain vigilant in enforcing traffic regulations and implementing measures to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring..
