The accused, Anil Kumar Meena, was identified through careful examination of CCTV footage. He is a resident of a nearby colony and holds a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).”
Shekhawat continued, “The accused, who is known to be an alcoholic, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. When the victim’s family was leaving the wedding venue, the accused offered to take the girl out. However, he took her to her hotel room instead and raped her. Subsequently, he returned the unconscious girl to her family before fleeing the scene.”
During the course of the investigation, the police gathered substantial evidence linking the accused to the crime. Anil Kumar Meena has confessed to the rape, further strengthening the case against him.
