Man Allegedly killed by Neighbour Over Spitting Pan Masala Incident

Sitapur District, Uttar Pradesh – A shocking act of violence unfolded in the Kotwali Nagar area of Sitapur district when a man was brutally murdered by his neighbour following an altercation over spitting pan masala outside his house.

The victim, identified as Anurag (28), had returned to his residence in Ambedkar Nagar Colony late on Wednesday night. In a seemingly trivial act, he spat pan masala outside the house of his neighbour, Narendra Mohan alias Lucky. This small action quickly escalated into a heated dispute, leading to a violent encounter. Infuriated, Narendra grabbed a sharp object and launched a brutal attack on Anurag before fleeing the crime scene, leaving him bleeding profusely.

Anurag’s family members acted swiftly, rushing him to the district hospital, where he was immediately admitted to the emergency ward. However, despite the medical attention, his condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting the doctors to transfer him to the renowned KGMU Trauma Centre in Lucknow. Unfortunately, Anurag succumbed to his injuries, leaving his grief-stricken family in anguish.

The news of Anurag’s tragic demise spread like wildfire, and his bereaved family members vented their anger and sorrow, creating a ruckus at the hospital. Law enforcement authorities were promptly alerted and arrived at the scene to calm the situation and assure the grieving family that appropriate action would be taken. The local police also relayed the incident to their counterparts in Sitapur, initiating a search for the accused, Narendra, who is currently on the run.

Initially registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder), the case has now been amended to Section 302 (murder) following Anurag’s death. The police are determined to apprehend the absconding suspect and bring him to justice.

Another Tragic Incident in Amethi

In a separate incident that has shaken the district of Amethi, the lifeless body of a 33-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree near a pond on Thursday evening. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Ansar, a resident of Phula village in the Mohanganj Kotwali police station area.

The shocking discovery was made by villagers who stumbled upon Ansar’s hanging body, located approximately 8 kilometers away from his residence. The local authorities were immediately alerted, and the police swiftly retrieved the body for further investigation. The remains were sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

According to authorities, Ansar was employed at a bakery in Mohanganj, and the motive behind his tragic demise remains unknown. Further details are expected to surface once the autopsy report is received, shedding light on this distressing incident. The police are actively conducting investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding Ansar’s untimely death.
