MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – In a tragic turn of events, Miami-Dade police have apprehended a 28-year-old woman in connection with a deadly crash involving multiple vehicles that took place on Friday morning. The authorities identified the suspect as Dymariz Picon, a resident of the Tamiami area in west Miami-Dade.

According to reports, Picon was driving a pickup truck when she was involved in a collision at the intersection of Southwest 92nd Avenue and 21st Terrace at approximately 8:30 a.m. Shockingly, Picon fled the scene, leaving her passenger, 34-year-old Daniel Garcia, lifeless behind.

The crash resulted in critical injuries to two men who were traveling in a work van. The victims were identified as Alexis Gonzalez Martinez, 30, and Jose G. Perez Estevez, 26. Additionally, several parked vehicles were also damaged in the incident.

Prior to the crash, authorities had been on the lookout for the Nissan Titan pickup truck in connection with a beer theft case at the On the Run convenience store located at Southwest 87th Avenue and Coral Way. It was revealed that a Miami-Dade Schools police officer had attempted to stop the vehicle but lost sight of it before the collision occurred.

Reports suggest that there was an unidentified third passenger in the pickup truck at the time of the crash. The two men suspected of committing the gas station theft were believed to be the occupants.
