Accident – death – Obituary News : An Arrest Warrant Issued for Akim Alleyne, 33, of Manchester, on Reckless Manslaughter Charge

MANCHESTER – Police have issued an arrest warrant for Akim Alleyne, a 33-year-old resident of Manchester, in connection with a reckless manslaughter charge. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a man.

According to a statement from Attorney General John M. Formella’s office on Friday, investigators have identified all relevant parties involved in the incident and assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to their safety. The statement did not provide specific details about the incident or the circumstances leading to the reckless manslaughter charge against Alleyne.

The victim, identified as Thomas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The state medical examiner’s office ruled his death as a homicide, citing “blunt force trauma to the head and neck” as the cause of death.

The incident occurred on Thursday around 12:30 p.m. when the police responded to a reported fight near a Domino’s Pizza located at 212 Lowell St. Upon arrival, they found Thomas unconscious on the sidewalk and immediately administered medical aid. Witnesses at the scene reported that Thomas was involved in an argument with a man who knocked him down and assaulted him on the sidewalk.

According to witnesses, the suspect briefly left the scene after the assault but returned before leaving again. The witnesses immediately called 911 to report the incident.

Following an extensive investigation, the police identified Akim Alleyne as the prime suspect in the case. Alleyne is currently on probation for a burglary that occurred in June.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Thomas’s death is still ongoing, according to the statement released by Attorney General Formella’s office. The authorities are urging anyone with information about Alleyne’s whereabouts to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
